What do the different drive errors during install mean?

You are trying to create a new account, or to add a new Lima to your existing one, but you're facing a drive error alert

Have no fear, you'll find below, a list of the most common alerts you could encounter, and how to trespass them.

Disk error "Checking":

This one is quite simple, it means that your Lima device is busy checking if your hard drive meets the Lima system requirements.
It can take up to 30 minutes to complete this process.

If your hard drive is not recognized nor mounted after this time slot, you might have to check its compatibility with Lima.
So, please make sure your drive meets the requirements, before giving it another try, uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

Disk error "Nopart":

If you're facing this error, it means that the drive you plugged to your Lima device, doesn't have a partition compatible with the Lima system.
In such a case, please check its compatibility with Lima.

So, please make sure your drive meets the requirements, before giving it another try, uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

Disk error "Removed":

This error means that the original hard drive you plugged when installing Lima for the first time, has been unplugged from your Lima.


If you've removed it so you could change the drive, for whatever reason, please consult this article.
If you want to keep using the same drive, just reconnect it then try uninstall/reinstall the app before logging into your account to get access to your files.

Disk error "Waiting":

Hey, haven't you forgotten a little thing...? Your Lima seems to be lacking a hard drive attachment to it!
If you have plugged it already, and nothing happens... it means that it's not recognized.

In which case, you'll have to check its compatibility with Lima.
So, please make sure your drive meets the requirements, before giving it another try, uninstalling/reinstalling the app.
