How does the Linux Lima client compare to the MacOS and Windows clients?

  • The linux client at this stage does not provide a graphical user interface (yet). We do not provide an integration with the various file browsers used by Linux distributions, such as Nautilus, but we will almost certainly do so in a future update. Note that one may browse through the Lima directory using a file browser just like a regular filesystem, but the Lima various icon overlays are not shown.

  • The linux client does not at this stage process uploaded multimedia files. For example, this means that pictures uploaded on the Linux client may not have proper thumbnails when viewed on an iPhone, or music files may not have the correct author information. This will be fixed in a future update as well.
